Wes Sawyer is a longtime El Paso County resident and civic leader committed to strengthening democracy and creating a political system that better represents voters. With a professional background spanning government, national defense, strategic planning, and program leadership, Wes brings decades of experience navigating complex organizations and bringing people together around shared goals.

Wes has been actively involved in democracy reform efforts in Colorado, including serving on the Colorado Forward Party’s Executive Committee and organizing in the Pikes Peak region. He is particularly passionate about reforms that give voters more choice, encourage effective leadership, and help bridge political divides.

Wes has lived in El Paso County for more than 30 years. In retirement, he enjoys fly fishing, chess, reading, and spending time with his two children and two grandchildren.
