Courageous Colorado Action was created to turn that challenge into action.
Our work builds on what Courageous Colorado learns through community conversations, statewide engagement, research, and relationships across Colorado. We carry those insights forward, bringing people together around shared priorities and turning ideas into practical policy solutions.
Colorado’s democracy should work for everyone who calls this state home. But too many Coloradans feel disconnected from the systems meant to represent them.
From Listening to Action
Courageous Colorado Action is the advocacy arm of our movement.
We align Coloradans across political perspectives around shared priorities. We advocate for policies that strengthen participation and representation. And we advance solutions by building coalitions, supporting local efforts, and working with policymakers to move ideas into action.
Together, Courageous Colorado and Courageous Colorado Action create a pathway from listening and learning to advocacy and change.
Our First Legislative Win
In our first legislative session, Courageous Colorado Action joined a broad coalition supporting HB 26-1320, which established accessible-language requirements for Colorado ballot titles. Working alongside CLLARO, Mi Familia Vota, policymakers, and many other partners, we helped build support for the legislation and testified as it moved through the General Assembly.
Governor Jared Polis signed HB 26-1320 into law on May 29, 2026. It marked Courageous Colorado Action’s first legislative win and an early example of our approach: identify a practical opportunity, build support around a solution, and help move it into policy.
Building What Comes Next
We are just getting started.
Across Colorado, we are building a cross-partisan coalition of people and organizations ready to work together on practical ways to strengthen our democracy. We will not agree on everything, and we do not need to. Our work starts by finding areas where people can align and building the relationships and momentum needed to act.
Our goal is bigger than any single policy or legislative session. We are building a movement capable of advancing meaningful change at the local and state levels while helping Colorado lead and inspire the nation.
