About Jeni Arndt

Jeni Arndt is a longtime public servant, educator, and civic leader who has spent her career working to strengthen communities and make government more responsive to the people it serves. A lifelong Fort Collins resident, Jeni served as Mayor of Fort Collins from 2021 to 2026, following more than six years representing House District 53 in the Colorado General Assembly.

Before entering elected office, Jeni built a career in education and public service, working as a special education and ESL teacher, middle school principal, university faculty member and department head, and Peace Corps volunteer. She holds degrees from Colorado College, the University of Colorado, and Purdue University, including a Ph.D. in literacy and language.

Throughout her public service, Jeni has championed pragmatic, collaborative approaches to governing and reforms that give voters greater voice and choice in their democracy. Her experience at both the state and local levels brings a deep understanding of how policy, civic participation, and effective governance come together to strengthen Colorado communities.

Jeni and her family have deep roots in Fort Collins, where she remains active in the community.
